Maternity Sessions

Choosing the right photographer is something that you have to do. Every photographer has their own style and their own way of taking a photograph. When checking for a photographer, it is like checking out a tattoo artist, you want to check out their work. If you like their style and what they can offer then they could be the right one for you. If you are hesitant about the work they produce then they may not be the right guy and or gal for you. When paying for a photographer you are paying for their "style" their "artistry", So be sure that is what or you may be disappointed in the end result.
Share Ideas with your photographer, As much as we wish we could read minds, we unfortunately cannot. Tell us exactly what you would like and we can tell you if we think we can make that happen or not. Recreating images is great, but in the end we would like to make it our own so we may tweak it a bit.
When preparing for your session, remember, this is YOUR session, If you are wanting a specific style make it clear. If you are not sure what colors to wear and what not ASK YOUR PHOTOGRAPHER. If they are unsure here is a great tid bit I found and I send my clients, it is from "Laska Project"

Now, when to schedule, that is completely deciding on when and what you are wanting to capture. If you are wanting to do the whole shabang and capture from start to end and the gender reveal and all, book as soon as you are confirmed with your pregnancy and talk to your photographer and see if they offer a package for the months ahead. If you are looking to just do the end finally book between 37-39 weeks so you have a perfectly round tummy to show off in your photographs.
TIGHT CLOTHING MOMMAS! If you want to show off that belly tight tight t-shirts and tanks and or dresses that curve to the belly. Skirts and pants what ever you would like is fine but remember if you want to reveal your curve then where something tight.

Do you have questions about anything in here or would you like something else addressed?? Just comment and or write me at elizabethreneephotography@gmail.com for the next topic you have in mind!!

My Trip To Colorado Springs

I will be heading to Colorado Springs for the weekend to do a super fun Boudoir Marathon. We had one other Boudoir Marathon in the Springs this year early in Spring but this time I am flying out to accomplish it. I was living there when we did it last so it wasn't nearly as hectic but it was still fun!

If you are in the springs or you plan on visiting the springs I'm telling you now... you have to stay at The Academy Hotel. They are amazing. Their staff is awesome, they have a heated pool, and their breakfasts in the morning are literally to die for... I love it so much. If you have the extra cash to spend stay in their Jacuzzi Suite, this is where we hold the fun every time! Every fall/winter they run "Romance" deals that make the room cheaper and you can get champagne and choc covered strawberries delivered to your room. (This trip it is just me traveling so no romance package needed ;) )

Time For Tea!

This one is for moms and dads out there that want to do cute photos of your kiddos by yourself. Now it is always a pain trying to get kids to pay attention and when you make them say the good old line of "say cheese" you get the most RIDICULOUS looks and smiles of annoyance... My advice to you is make a fun set and play with it.

Tea Time is what we did for my daughters photos this year. Something they both love to do once in awhile is to play "Tea Party" and so we went all out, decked out the scene with candy, lollipops, and cupcakes and of course dressed them in old holiday dresses that we already had.

We went to grandma's back yard since it is much more adorable then our backyard with overgrown sunflowers and tomato plants that took over our back yard for awhile :D

Here is the Ending Result to our Tea Time photo shoot that you too can do at home with your kids, and if you have boys, maybe do a pirate theme or even an explorer theme and just follow them around with the camera. These moments like these when they are having fun but not paying attention

to the camera is the best moments to catch. It captures true emotion and not a fake CHEEESSSSEEE.

Good Luck on your themed photo shoot & remember to always have fun with it... they are just photos and the more relaxed you are about them the more fun it makes them!

Are You Ready For Halloween??

Last weekend at the studio we did a 7 Deadly Sins shoot, and let me tell ya..... that was some fun! We had 7 models, 3 hair and make up gurus, and one set plus myself! Everyone arrived early in the morning (well 8am) and we chatted up and got started!

Allow me to introduce to you the 7 Deadly Sins that are as gorgeous as ever!!!
